The Senior Advisory Committee did a feasibility study in 2012 to determine a plan for reinvigorating the Seniors Job Bank. Working with local community partners including the Town of West Hartford, Rotary Clubs, banks, trade associations, and Senior Centers, we secured funding and support to re-establish the Seniors Job Bank of Greater Hartford in 2013.
The collaborative partnerships with these municipal, business, and non-profit organizations as well as generous individuals, continue to enable SJB to provide our FREE service — connecting people over 50 who are looking for work with employers who need experienced workers. We maintain successful relationships with all of our partners and continue to expand our offerings.
The Seniors Job Bank now has over 650 jobseekers in our database looking for meaningful work, and provides employers with seasoned workers in the 24 towns across the Greater Hartford region that we serve.
I call that collaboration that works!
Regards, Bob Cave, SJB Fundraising Committee
