Since 2005 I have used the SJB for carpenters and other home services. Every experience has been positive and the work is always well done.
After retiring last year, knowing that I would have some free time available, I turned to the SJB to investigate part-time work in the Hartford area. The process of registering as a ‘jobseeker’ allowed me to meet the Executive Director, Robin Clare and her fantastic team.
Understanding the vision of the SJB and seeing first-hand the impact it has on the Hartford area made a big impression on me, and I am happy that my involvement has grown.My favorite thing about the SJB is meeting the new jobseekers. There are many, many talented individuals with so many unique stories. I have the privilege ofgetting to know the diversity and breadth of this talent pool because I get the opportunity to meet with them as they register for the SJB, just as I did.
